It didn’t take long for the new kindergarten students of Moree East Public School to settle in on their first day of big school on Friday.
Looking smart in the school’s new uniforms, many of which were a few sizes too big, the new batch of fresh-faced kindergarteners started school with mums, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and cousins all on hand to support them as they began their schooling life.
After dropping their children off at their classroom and saying their goodbyes, parents were treated to barista-made coffee, hot chocolate and a bite to eat before they left the school gates.
This year there are 24 kindergarten students enrolled at Moree East, making up two small classes to provide extra support to those who need it.
We visited the school on Friday to see the new students settling in during play time in the morning.
If you have a kindergarten student who started school this year, we would love to add your photos to our gallery. Send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
