It’s the first time the Swans have conducted a full-day community camp in the town.
Moree Suns secretary Annette Hadley is helping coordinate the visit with development officer Anna Winter.
“The Swans will be going into schools and running clinics on the day and then after, be at the Moree Showground, which is our new home ground for 2019,” Ms Hadley said.
“There they will take clinics for juniors from 4pm to 5pm, a session for women from 5,30pm to 6.30pm and a session for men from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.”
It’s an opportunity for current and future players to come and engage in a session run by national players, Ms Hadley said.

The Moree Suns are a relatively new team, and AFL is still in the development stage in Moree.
“So far this year, we’ve seen an increase in numbers which is positive, however, we really want to be able to promote our sport further and generate more interest,” Ms Hadley said.
“Many people who try AFL for the first time find it is a very different type of sport than often portrayed.
“It’s quite athletic, and still has a level of physicality to it.
“It requires a whole different type of fitness to other codes of football to play.”
The community camps are run every year by the Sydney Swans in conjunction with AFL NSW-ACT.
“We would love to see some Juniors and Women’s attend training,” Ms Hadley said.
“We’d love to have more children involved because girls and boys are important to the future of our club.” Juniors currently train on Wednesdays at 6.30pm at the Showgrounds.
This year registration is $100 and entrants receive their uniform, a team shirt, a training singlet and a kit bag.
“We’re open to more sponsors coming on board in a variety of ways,” Ms Hadley said.
“We’d love to work with community partners and have a variety of non-cash sponsorship options (such as merchandise and equipment) which is equally as valuable to us as a club.”
