Agri Storage got their title defence off to a good start, overcoming Vic Vikings in a close affair.
Agri Storage were bowled out for 129, before producing their own strong performance with the ball, holding Vikings to just 118.
Chris Holland lead the way with both bat and ball, scoring 30 runs before backing it up with 3/21 off his four overs.
Rangs started off their campaign with a win against Golfies, thanks to a phenomenal batting display by Jason Poutawa.
Batting first, Golfies posted a solid total of 6/150 off their 20 overs behind scores of 60 and 50 from Charlie Shearer and Josh Boland, respectively.
After taking two wickets with the ball, Poutana opened the batting for Rangs and hit 17 boundaries on his way to an unbeaten 96 off just 55 balls.
Poutana was helped by an impressive cameo of 41 off 18 by teammate James Smith as Rangs chased down their target of 151 just two wickets down with five overs to spare.
Camurra Crows cruised to a victory over Balcony Boys with a strong all-round display.
Crows bowled out Balcony Boys for just 116, Zac Hauser and Glenn Coke taking three wickets apiece.
They reached Balcony Boys’ total with ease, finishing on 1/116 off just 10.5 overs, Sam Woods top scoring with 62 not out off 34 deliveries.
In the final game, Colts defeated Pally Pub Bulls a tight contest.
Colts batted first and amassed 163 runs off their innings, Justin Barnes top scoring with 61. Tony O’Donnell was the standout with the ball for the Bulls, finishing with 3/15.
O’Donnell backed up his strong bowling performance with the bat, scoring 49 in the Bulls’ chase but it was not enough as they fell just six runs short.
Tom Barnes was the pick of the bowlers for Colts finishing with 2/15.
