Running from Monday, January 21 to Friday, January 25, the Drama Kings and Queens kids’ holiday drama course is back for another year.
Children aged eight to 12 years are invited to participate in the week-long drama course, to be held at Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM) from 9am to 2pm each day.
The course is developed and run by Harriett Roberts, an experienced drama and English teacher who has a bachelor of performing arts, with National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) experience.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn a variety of drama-based skills through fun activities such as drama games, script writing, script reading, directing, and even acting in front of a camera.
Ms Roberts said the drama classes are aimed at helping children develop confidence, articulation, presentation, improvisation and social skills within a group environment.
“Theatre sport encourages teamwork and gives students an opportunity for self-reliance and expression, all whilst having fun,” she said.
“They also have the opportunity to meet people from different schools and town and broaden their understanding of drama from typical school activities to more hands-on student-led activities.”
Spaces are limited for the classes, so parents are encouraged to book their child in before Thursday, January 17 to avoid disappointment.
Cost is $250. For more information, contact Harriett Roberts on 0436 380 892 or 0428 668 402 or email harriettroberts@outlook.com.
