Moree Plains Shire Council is currently calling for nominations for the annual awards.
Mayor Katrina Humphries encouraged residents to support the awards and nominate individuals and groups that have made a significant contribution to the shire.
“Community groups and volunteers are the backbone of our shire and vastly improve the liveability of our region with their tireless efforts,” she said.
“The process for nominating a group or individual is fast and simple, yet can make a real difference to the person or group that is nominated, as far too often their contributions to our wonderful community are not duly acknowledged.”
