The family-run agency was first opened by Moree locals Les and Pam Hill on July 1, 1968.
The business has since been handed down to their children Doug Hill, John Hill and Lauren Winkley who currently manage the business.
Over the last five decades the team has helped three generations of locals with their home, car and contents insurance and roadside service needs.
“We’ve had many loyal clients over the years and we’re grateful they’ve stayed with us as we wouldn’t have a business without their support,” NRMA Moree proprietor Doug Hill said.
“Throughout our time in Moree we’re glad we’ve also been able to help our customers get back on their feet after natural disasters including major floods and storms.”

NRMA Insurance relationship manager Frank Adler said it’s incredible to see a business reach such a big milestone.
“Well done to the Hill family, including Doug, John and Lauren on such a fantastic achievement,” he said.
“Their ongoing commitment to serving their local community and helping customers bounce back after unexpected events makes us proud to have them as part of our team and we look forward to seeing them continue well into their sixth decade of business and beyond.”
NRMA general manager roadside operations, Melanie Kansil said the NRMA was proud to have maintained a strong presence within the Moree community now for half a century.
“The NRMA has always been about helping people and Doug Hill’s agency could not epitomise that more – in fact, Doug met his wife Gwanita when she had locked her keys in her car and called NRMA for assistance,” she said.
“The Hill family have maintained a strong spirit of help over three generations of service to the community, assisting tens of thousands of members since 1968.”
In the past year alone, the Moree NRMA roadside team helped to get 1,270 cars back on the road.
“It is this type of grassroots family service that embodies what the NRMA brand stands for and we look forward to helping keep many more members moving on Moree roads for years to come,” Ms Kansil said.
Throughout the 50 years, the shopfront has also remained at the same address on Frome Street.
The Moree agency offers both NRMA Insurance and NRMA roadside services and products.
