The Rangs made history this year, securing three Group 19 rugby league premierships after a dream grand final day at home in September.
Each of the three men’s teams – A grade, reserve grade and under 18s – were the 2018 minor and major premiers, while the ladies league tag side made the Group 19 semi-finals.
Members of the club turned out to celebrate this year’s success and reward players and coaches on a fantastic performance at the end of season presentation, held at Moree Town Hall, on Friday, November 23.
Anthony Williams was the big winner on the night, winning the Lyal and Carmine Munro award for the 2018 Player of the Year.
Keanan Duncan was named Rookie of the Year, while Zac Sampson won the A grade Players Player.
As one season ends, another begins and the Moree Boomerangs are seeking suitably qualified and experienced coaches for the 2019 season in A grade, reserve grade, juniors and league tag.
Potential applicants are to submit in writing an application detailing qualifications and experience to the board of directors by Monday, December 17. Applications can be sent to moree.boomerangs@gmail.com or by contacting the secretary on 0418 765 152.
