More than 40 elders enjoyed a delicious traditional Christmas lunch of cold and hot meats and vegetables, as well as an array of desserts, at the annual Pius Elders Christmas Luncheon, held on Wednesday, December 5.
This was the first time the celebration has been held at the Max Centre in the three years it has been running.
Pius board member Jessica Duncan said everyone enjoyed the fancy change from the Pius Hall, where the luncheon is usually held.
“It’s getting bigger each year and growing in popularity, so we needed a bigger venue,” she said.
“Plus we thought it would be nice to actually take our elders out for lunch, which makes it more special.”

“It’s a way to give back to them for using our service throughout the year and celebrate their loyalty to us,” Ms Duncan said.
The Max Centre function room was adorned with beautiful Christmas decorations, creating a fancy festive atmosphere.
