About 100 senior citizens from Moree, Pallamallawa and Mungindi attended the annual Christmas luncheon, held at Moree Services Club on Thursday, November 29.
The seniors were treated to a delicious Christmas lunch of cold meats and salads, followed by homemade plum pudding, custard and cream for dessert.

They also enjoyed fantastic entertainment by Moree Public School, with performances by the bagpipe players and Irish dancers, as well as Christmas carols sung beautifully by the choir.
Les Smith, believed to be the eldest guest in attendance at the age of 99, was given the honour of cutting the Christmas cake.
“It’s a pleasure to be here,” he said.
Each guest also received a box of homemade biscuits to take home.
The plum pudding, biscuits and cake were all homemade by the Moree Lions Ladies.
Fairview’s June McKnight thanked the Lions Club and Lions Ladies for once again putting on a “beautiful lunch”.
