Any Aboriginal students or community members interested in a career with the NSW Police Force are encouraged to come along on Sunday.
Aboriginal Police Recruitment Officer Sergeant Steve Lowe said the Aboriginal Police Career Day is a great way to find out about the career options available.
“Come and take a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a police officer,” he said.
“A career in the NSW Police Force allows you excitement, challenge and the opportunity to contribute positively to the safety and security of the community.”
The NSW Police Force encourages people from all backgrounds to apply. Those with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and language skills are highly valued.
Local police officers, Aboriginal Community Liaison Officers and officers from the Police Recuitment Branch will be in attendance at the Aboriginal Police Careers Day, to be held at Moree PCYC in Boston Street, from 10am to 4pm. A free barbecue will be provided.
