Over the years my family have had you care for us, at times in very sad cases and through the loss of loved ones.
But most recently myself what I’ve experienced and watched is the amazing, caring, dedicated women who from one shift to another never know what they will be faced with yet they handle it all with dignity, empathy, and compassion.
It’s not just the patient they care for oftentimes it’s also the extended family and friends.
They work tirelessly to help fix the broken and the ill all while maintaining each patient’s dignity.
They work with patients who through no fault of their own have at times mentally/physically lost their way.
Now this is what I call a hard day at work.
But these angels do it every day and not once have I witnessed any breakdown in their duty of care.
So few people just forget to say thank you, it’s not that hard, yes it’s their job of choice but it’s a huge choice.
We often sit back and complain about what Moree our town of choice doesn’t have, but what we do have is a hospital that would benefit greatly from upgrading.
What will help that is 3000 signatures for our hospital upgrade. Our nurses, doctors and hospital staff don’t just deserve this, we all do.
So if by misfortune you or your family needs to be cared for I hope it’s our hospital, our nurses, doctors and hospital staff that have the chance to look after you.
From me personally, thank you to our wonderful nurses and a special thank you to Dr Sathananthan.
