The Aboriginal Community Response information session, hosted by the NSW Joint Child Protection Response Progra, will be held at Moree Services Club from 9am to 3pm on Tuesday, November 20 and Wednesday, November 21.
Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal facilitators from NSW Health, Community Services and NSW Police will provide Aboriginal community members with information to help protect and support a child if a disclosure of abuse is made.
Workers supporting Aboriginal families are also welcome to attend.
The course will cover:
- What is child abuse?
- What to do if a child tells you about being abused
- What does the Joint Child Protection Response Program do?
The training is free to attend, with morning tea, coffee/tea and lunch provided.
Registration is required for catering purposes.
