After posting 161 and having North Tamworth 3-67 at stumps, the Bulls rolled the Redbacks for 112.
“Everyone bowled well,” Paterson said.
They had a couple of notable additions with Moree brothers Paddy and Jack Montgomery charging in for the first time this season.
Taking the new ball on Saturday, Jack finished with 3-11 and “bowled really well”, his extra pace and line and length proving troublesome for the batsmen.
He also mixed it up well.
“He’d bowl a really full ball and then put in a short ball to put them back,” Paterson said.
Following his younger sibling, Paddy snared 1-12, the two adding a lot to the Bulls’ attack.
Gerhard Labuschagne and Kurt Barton also both chipped in with two wickets after Nick Hird (1-19) had set the platform on day one.
“When everyone is on deck we have a really good bowling attack, really good seam attack,” Paterson said.
He acknowledged getting the three first day wickets was a critical factor.

“To get both Rixon’s (Brendan and Michael) out last week was a big positive, especially so cheaply.
“That really put us in a good position,” he said.
“To still have that new ball with the other batsmen really helped out.”
A couple of early wickets on Saturday further aided their cause, the wickets falling consistently from there.
“We didn’t really bat the way we should have,” Norths skipper Brendan Rixon said.
“We probably lost a couple too many last week.
“It was still there if we had of applied ourselves but we weren’t patient enough. We had all day to get 100 but we were out before tea.”
Glenn Lewington was their top-scorer with 32.
Rixon also made mention of Luke Constable, who came in for the second day and was the only batsmen to really put a price on his wicket.
Batting a second time, Bective were 4-121 when the game was called with Paterson hitting 44 and Adam Jones 34.
