A 2008 graduate and former school captain, Tegan credits the ongoing opportunities for leadership at MSC for her career progression to date.
“I attended MSC from year seven to 12 and had so many opportunities for leadership thoughout my schooling – from student representative council, regional and state leadership conferences, and ultimately, school captaincy,” she said.
“As a student, I enjoyed the challenge, and responsibility, of leadership – and now as an adult and a professional I can appreciate the fantastic grounding, confidence and other skills I developed as a result.
“To converse confidently with adults and peers, public speaking, speech writing, decision making – they are all skills that I now rely upon in my career as a solicitor.”
During her years at MSC, Tegan cites Mrs Maybury as one of her most inspiring teachers.
“Our motivation to learn and achieve was matched with Mrs Maybury’s passion to teach,” she said.

Armed with ambition and natural leadership skills, Tegan embarked on a Bachelor of Arts (Political Studies) and Bachelor of Law at the University of New England, while working as a law clerk during the later years of her undergraduate studies.
“Law is so diverse, working as a clerk gave me exposure to a vast array of fields and helped me direct my passion,” Tegan said.
In 2013 she completed her undergraduate degrees, and in 2014 obtained her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice before being admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW.
“Following my admission, I was working across most areas of law and gaining as much experience as possible,” Tegan said.
A strong local network, maintained and strengthened thanks to her Moree education, also paid dividends, and led her to her current position as a senior solicitor with Webb and Boland.
“I work predominantly in commercial, contract, and property matters, assisting clients in a number of areas, across both NSW and QLD,” Tegan said.
Travel is another passion, and this young adventurer has successfully balanced career and travel – highlights include chasing the Northern Lights in Iceland, experiencing the Highlands in Scotland, passing through the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, and navigating the streets and traffic of Rome.
