The Rural Crime Prevention Team are renewing their appeal for information in relation to the unlawful killing and butchering of a cow in January 2018 after receiving further information about this alarming crime.

On the evening of January 15, 2018 an Angus Heifer was unlawfully shot on a property on Mosquito Creek Road, Pallamallawa, east of Moree.
The offenders butchered the cow and stole the carcass, leaving the other remains of the cow behind.
Rural Crime Investigators from Moree are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen two vehicles acting suspiciously in the area on the evening, or may have heard gunshots in the vicinity.
Upon conviction this crime has a maximum sentence of 14 years imprisonment.
