Pius-X’s Cherie Piening said the ladies had an opportunity to share their personal stories with cancer.
“There were a few in the room who had gone through their own battle or had family members who had experienced women’s cancers,” she said.
Information was shared regarding local services available for women who may be battling cancer.
“If they’re not going through their own battle it’s still good for them to know what is out there in regards to support and assistance, for family members or friends.”
Ladies enjoyed catching up, a performance from Kiah Pre-School and the delicious food, cooked and prepared by Chris Rowden and Royce Fernando.
