The screening, “A Street Cat Named Bob” is a true story based on the life of James Bowen, a busker and recovering drug addict, who found an injured, ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation. Though James was living hand-to-mouth on the streets of London, he couldn’t resist helping this strikingly intelligent tom cat called Bob.
By nursing Bob back to health, he managed to transform his life and have a few dangerous adventures along the way.
Though the uplifting story takes place on the streets of London, Moree residents can relate to the heart-wrenching tale of resilience.
The screening kicks off at 6.30pm (for a 7pm start) with admission at $15 for both the PG-rated movie and supper.
