In the early hours of Sunday, September 30 the rocket was vandalised and council staff made the decision to close the much-loved kids playground.
The vandalism could not have come at a worse time, just as families began their school holidays.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this causes to other people in the community.
“This area is covered by CCTV and council will be reviewing this footage,” a council spokesperson said at the time.
MPSC took to Facebook on Wednesday to inform their online audience that the rocket was ready for lift off- so to speak.
However, the council urged anyone who may have information regarding the vandalism to call police.
”If you witnessed the vandalism or know anything about the incident, we encourage you to make a report to the Moree Police on 6757 0799.”
