The excitement of reaching a two-year milestone pushed a few new personal bests- eleven to be precise, or was it the cake waiting at the end?
Five first-timers also took the starting line on Saturday and were able to test out the brand new path installed by council.
Event ambassador Heather Hunter travelled across from Tamworth to help make the day extra special and participants took full advantage of the ‘Fantasy Land’ theme.
People were dressed in their best superhero costumes and there were rumours that Kath from Kath and Kim also popped down for the morning.
A big round of applause was sent to everyone who has been a part of Moree parkruns’ second year and parkrun overall.
Heather gave praise to Carmel Kennedy for getting parkrun off the ground in Moree over two years ago and who still helps out today.
Moree parkrun is a free, weekly timed event that caters for all fitness levels.
