Danny Cheetham is on a mission to put Moree back on the boxing map, as the local trainer has lined up plenty of fresh faces to make their debut in the upcoming months.

Part of achieving that very mission will see the return of Moree’s successful fight nights.
“We’re calling it, Boxing is back in the Big M. We’re really building towards getting competitive boxing back on track in the town,” Cheetham said.
The fight night will happen on October 20 at Moree Services Club with a celebrity exhibition bout between Stanley Swan and Jimmy Bryans the main draw card.
“The corporate tables have already been sold,” Cheetham said on the glowing support from Moree.
“Even though our area is going through drought at the moment, the corporate support is unbelievable.”
Tickets will go on sale at the local Services Club in early October, for $50 a pop.
“That will get you general admission and four hours worth of fights,” Cheetham said.
Six other local fighters will also take the ring on the night.
