More than 1300 party lovers from across the State and NSW poured into Goondiwindi for the annual Plucked B&S Ball.
It was another wonderful success according to Committee Pesident, Sam Tweedy.
“Times are a bit tough at the moment so we were really happy with the crowd,” Sam said.
“The entertainment was great and everyone, including the committee, had a great time.”
“We’d like to thank the community groups that helped out, without them the B&S wouldn’t function,” he said.
The B&S Committee recently handed over more than $55,000 to various charity groups.
While Police praised the general behavior of most they were critical of those few who still decided to drink and drive.
Eight people were charged with driving under the influence of alcohol over the weekend while two were charged with drug-driving.
