Each year the preschool celebrates Father’s Day with a barbecue lunch on each day of the week for the children’s male relatives.

Throughout the week fathers, grandfathers and uncles enjoyed a sausage sandwich and ice-cream, as well as a play in the playground with the children.

“It’s lovely, they all look forward to it,” Moree Pre-School director Pamela Campbell said.

“It’s something we’ve been doing for a long time; it’s always well attended. I think the dads enjoy someone else cooking a barbecue for them.”

In May, the preschool held a morning tea each day in the week following Mother’s Day for the children’s female relatives.
