“It’s a great day out. The show always brings in a great crowd, and is a first stop for many people who head out to the races later in the day,” Moree Motor Enthusiast Club president Sonia Rowe said.
Now in its 12th year, the show has become a staple of local Father’s Day celebrations. It will run on Sunday September 2.
It will kick off at 7am and end at 1pm, in time for expo-goers to head to the Pacific National Moree Cup at the local race club.
The expo will showcase a range of four and two wheeler vehicles, from vintage cars to tractors, trucks and hotrods.
“We generally have 100 entries. Judges and dealers will go around and decide the best cars in each category. The club will have 30 to 40 cars on display, but they won’t be part of the competition,” Ms Rowe said.
In place of the Chrysler class this year, eight Jaguars will be on display.
Cars and motors aside, Ms Rowe said the show had covered everybody’s interests with plenty of hot drinks and food on offer.
“There will be a few rides and a jumping castle for the kids, and the motor show will run at the same time as the Jellicoe Park Markets for any mums and grandmothers who want to visit its stalls,” Ms Rowe said.
