Kate Kelly and Kay McKenzie, who work in the kitchen at Moree Hospital, received the Moree Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Customer Appreciation Award for July.
The pair were nominated for the award by Paula Lennon, for “the amazing work they do to keep all patients feed and watered in Moree Hospital”.
“They have beautiful wit and humour and always caring and serving the patients with a smile,” Ms Lennon said.
“All the staff love them too. They are always smiling and laughing together and caring for everyone. They have huge hearts.
“Kitchen and cleaning staff regularly go unnoticed and they deserve even a little bit of attention and gratitude. They have almost 50 years’ service between them.”
