The best students from throughout the Moree District Primary School Sports Association competed in the 2018 Heferen Shield athletics carnival, held at Boughton Oval Moree on Friday, August 3.
Students from Moree, Moree East, Croppa Creek, Gravesend, Pallamallawa, Yetman, Toomelah, Boomi, Garah, North Star, Bonshaw, and Tulloona public schools, Mungindi and Boggabilla central schools, St Philomena’s School, Moree Christian School and St Joseph’s School Mungindi competed in a variety of athletic events throughout the day, including sprints and middle distance races, high jump, long jump and shot put.

These students progressed to district level after success at their individual school athletics carnivals held earlier this year.
Students who place on Friday will then progress to the next level of competition.
