Monday's event was the first time the library has held a lego competition.
Moree Community Library coordinator Samantha Geatches said Monday’s event was a lead-up to the library’s new Lego Club program beginning in term three of the school year.
“Due to popular demand we have also had to make a second club and it is almost full also,” she said.
“There’s still a few places left, people can call the library to book.
“We have purchased a fair amount of lego but are definitely open to donations from the community.”
Children waiting to have their turn were treated to a screening of a lego-themed DVD, and given the opportunity to explore the lego website for inspiration on the Library’s iPads.
The staff of Moree Community Library would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended for the patience as they had to run multiple competition rounds to cope with the number of attendees.
