Rural Crime Investigators from Moree in the New England Police District conducted an illegal hunting and trespassing operation from Wednesday through to Saturday last week.

Investigators had reason to interact with two males on Friday evening July 6, who were hunting in the Couradda area.
As a result a 31-year-old male from Edgeroi was arrested and charged with driving whilst disqualified, possessing a prohibited drug (cannabis), and bail-refused to appear at the Moree Local Court on July 9.
The man was also charged with breaching his bail in respect to a previous arrest on June 4, for failing to report at the Narrabri Police Station. The man is also on parole for unrelated matters.
The Rural Crime Prevention Team will being continuing their efforts around illegal hunting and trespassing, not only addressing these crimes, but anything else that they come across.
