More than 1,000 people showed to the Talmoi Picnic Races to share in the experience of one of the region’s best horse-racing events.
The Talmoi Picnic Races is the third and final leg in the golden circuit, which kicked off with the Moree Picnic Races then the Mallawa Picnic Races.
While the day was a good excuse to dress in fancy attire and enjoy a pleasant day at the race-track, there is little doubt many were keeping a close eye on Track Flash.
Moree trainer Peter Sinclair’s six year old gelding has quickly made a name for itself, after it collected both the Moree Picnic and Mallawa Picnic trophies.
Track Flash was floated as the most likely to win the Talmoi Picnic Cup.
That was not to be the case this time around, after Rena’s Lad stole the coveted trophy with a comfortable distance between third-place Track Flash.
