Last year the committee donated a total of $54,574.80 to the hospital to purchase various items.
The money was originally intended to purchase a brand new video colonoscope at a cost of $42,592.37.
However after the donation, Hunter New England Health was able to negotiate the purchase at a much-reduced price, enabling Moree Hospital to purchase two video colonoscopes to replace old equipment.
Moree Hospital acute health service manager Bronwyn Cosh said the video colonoscope enables the procedure to be recorded for medical records for the future.

“It’s fantastic for the town,” she said.
“It allows you to do more colonoscopies.
“If you have more machines, you can do more surgeries in a day.”
The donation has also gone towards the refurbishment of an area of the hospital used by visiting doctors and the nurse unit managers of renal and the perioperative areas, Jodie Slack-Smith and Sharon Nash.
Although the donation was made in November last year, the hospital has only recently received the equipment.
So last week, acute health service manager Bronwyn Cosh and renal unit manager Jodie Slack-Smith paid a visit to members of the Renal Support committee to thank them for their generous donation.
Each year the Renal Support group makes a significant donation to the hospital, having raised well over $300,000 since 2001.
The money is raised from selling raffle tickets at Moree Services Club each Wednesday night.
“Not only have they provided money for the renal unit, but they have been a wonderful support to the hospital in general,” Ms Cosh said.
The committee is now waiting for the new renal unit to open to see what’s needed to purchase with their next donation.
The Renal Support committee would like to thank Moree Services Club for allowing them to run their weekly raffles.
