If you’re experiencing pain, are in desperate need of relaxation or just wish to spoil yourself with a bit of TLC, you’re in luck – a brand new massage therapist is in Moree and offering a range of massage therapies to suit everyone.
The Massage Bar is set to open in Moree this Saturday, May 26.
Owned and operated by qualified massage therapist Katrina Smith, The Massage Bar offers a range of massage styles, from Thai, Swedish, sports, and pregnancy massages through to reflexology, detox foot spas and lymphatic drainage in the close future.
“I think one of our most unique modalities would be disability massage,” Katrina said.
“This is not something that is frequently offered, and most styles of massage can be adapted to suit the individual’s abilities. I’m very excited about this one!”
Open early to late with walk-ins welcome, The Massage Bar aims to accommodate everyone.
It will be open 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday for walk-in massages and 6am to 8.30am and 5pm to 9pm by appointment.
On Saturdays the bar will be open 6am to 9am by appointment and 9am to 12 noon for walk-ins.
“Up until now there hasn’t been an opportunity in town to just walk in and get a massage; at the moment, all places require bookings,” Katrina said.
“But you can’t know when you are going to wake up with a stiff neck or hurt yourself at work. It is impossible to book two weeks in advance for that.
“I have been getting a lot of encouraging feedback from the likes of farmers, tradesmen, and truck drivers. These industries don’t really guarantee a set time off work, so they are excited to know that when they do get time off they can just walk-in, no booking required.”
Located next to the Thai and Vietnamese restaurants on Frome Street, The Massage Bar offers ample room for truck and ute parking, with a safe carpark next to the building for mothers with children and prams, and disability access through the back door.
“Having the Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese restaurants right next door enables us stay open late, meaning people can have a quick 15 or 20 minute massage while they wait for their dinner,” Katrina said.
The grand opening will be this Saturday, May 26. Bookings are now being taken.
