“We are giving former players, coaches, committees, supporters and families an opportunity to purchase seats illustrated on the plans of the clubhouse at Boughton Oval,” Moree Boars secretary Kerry McDonald said.
The initial advertisement posted on Facebook offered 200 seats, however the club has since whittled down the number.
“The club has set a target to sell 140. If there is a greater demand, we will happily reinstate all the seats,” Kerry said.
The seats were taken from Parramatta Stadium at the time of its demolition last year. Around 40 of them have been sold, each one valued at $550.

Kerry said plenty of value is tacked onto the price-tag.
“You will get a seat with your name printed on the back, free entry to all Moree Boars regular season and trial matches at Boughton Oval and your seat number will become your membership number. All this will last five years.”
A Moree Boars membership badge shaped like a boar with your seat number on the back and a free ticket to the opening of the clubhouse has been thrown into the bag of goodies. Buyers will also have a personalised, limited edition 100 year polo shirt added to their wardrobe, in time for the Boars’ celebration of its centenary.
“The clubhouse has been in the works for three years. The club would like to see the new facility finished in September, in time for its 100 year anniversary,” Kerry said.
The new clubhouse will flaunt a bar, canteen and offices: it will be a place for the Boars to call home.
“The teams will still make use of the facilities that are already at Boughton Oval. This clubhouse will have the added ability of hosting club days,” Kerry said.
According to Kerry, the club has already managed to raise $50,000 for the project.
“Todd Mitchells has been the real driving force of this clubhouse.”
Kerry said she was always grateful to Sundown Pastoral Company owner David Statham for engaging with the plan.
There are two payment options for buyers interested in the game seats: a $550 upfront payment, or a $150 upfront payment, with $100 installations paid over the following four months. A tax invoice as sponsorship comes with both options.
