With Anzac Day just around the corner, here’s a quick rundown of the services and events happening in Moree and its surrounds so you don’t miss the opportunity to pay respect to Australia’s brave on April 25.

A march will kick off at Morton Street at 5.50am and end at Moree and District Services Club in time for the Dawn Service at the Memorial Window at 6am.
The Moree Max Wales Memorial will start at 9am, with the ceremony set at the Max Wales Memorial Park on the river at the western side of the Moree and District Services Club.
Participants of the Anzac Day march will meet at Kirkby Park opposite Woolworths at 9.30am. The march will head along Balo Street and end with a salute in front of Supercheap Auto.
The ceremony at Moree Memorial Hall will jump start at 10am. The Girl Guides will provide a morning tea afterwards.
Due to the march, the section of Balo Street between Frome and Gwydir streets will be closed from 9am until 11.30am.
The Dawn Service at Mungindi will kick into gear at the Mungindi RSL Club at 5.45am.
A march will begin and end at the local RSL Club at 10am, with a commemoration service set to begin at 10.30am.
Due to Anzac Day services in Mungindi, the section of St George Road between Narrabri and Wirrah streets will be closed to the public between 10am and 12noon.
Pallamallawa will host its Dawn Service at 6.00am at the Pallamallawa Memorial Hall. Participants are told to meet at 5am. A breakfast will follow the service.
The march will take place in Boomi, with the Old Post Office as the starting point at 10.45am. The march will conclude at Boomi Hall in time for the Anzac Ceremony at 11am. A community morning tea will follow the ceremony.
Bellata Anzac Day-goers are ask to assesmble at the local school at 10.15am for a march to the hall. The laying of wreaths will take place at 10.45am and the Anzac service kick off at 11am. Morning tea will follow the service.
Lunch at the local golf club will start at 1pm, and will cost an adult $20 and children aged 12 and under $10. Proceeds will go towards the hall.
Collarenebri will host its own march at 10.15am, beginning at the Post Office and ending at the bowls club. A service will commence at the club grounds at 11am. A luncheon will conclude the day’s event.
March participants in Garah are told to assemble at the CWA Hall at Midkin Street at 8.30am. The march will start at 10am and head to Garah Hall for wreath laying. Morning tea will be provided.
An Anzac service at Crooble Hall will start at 8am, though participants are encouraged to arrive at 7.30am. A breakfast barbecue will be fired up.
The march at Goondiwindi will begin at the carpark next to the Church of England at 10am, with participants urged to meet at 9.45am. The route has been drawn down Marshall Street to the Cenotaph for the Anzac Day Commemoration Service at 10.15am.
