The gesture was part of Lions Awareness Day – Saturday, March 3 – which aims to celebrate and share the work Lions do in their communities.
There are 1,350 Lions clubs in Australia with more than 30,000 members.
Each year each Lion donates an average of 70hrs work.
Approximately $50 million is donated on an annual basis.
All funds raised by the Lions go directly to the people and organisations supported by the Lions.
Moree Lions Club members are proud to be Lions and will continue to support their community where they can.
They could always use an extra pair of hands so for those who are interested in joining, they have dinner meetings at the Town and Country Club on the first and third Thursday of the month.
