While it may be the 100 year anniversary for the Moree Boars this year, Boomerangs A-Grade coach Chris Binge said his team had no intention to hand over a win.
“The Boars are playing on the Boomerang’s home ground. It might be their anniversary, but after the game on Sunday they might be commiserating, not celebrating.”
Binge said he was confident in the work his players had done, taking last week’s win against Glen Innes Magpies as an indicator of what was to come for this week’s match.
“When the Boomerangs go onto the Boar’s home ground, the Boars can make it about them. But this Sunday’s game is on our home turf. We’re going to play to win,” said Binge.
The showdown will take place at Burt Jovanovich Oval on Sunday. The league-tag team will kick off at 11am. U18s, reserves and A-Grade will follow.
