“This is the first time the Community Hall will have a celebrity of this scale,” said an excited Community Hall secretary Michelle Hall.
For anyone unfamiliar with the Australian icon, ‘Whippy’ is a five time whip-cracking Guiness World record holder, taking out the gong for fastest record with one and two hands, and longest whip measuring over 100 metres in length.
Gates will open at 5.30pm with a barbecue and bar setup at 6pm.
“This is a strictly non BYO event. So we kindly ask that people wanting to drink, buy drinks at the bar.”
A jumping castle will be available for children before ‘Whippy’ kickstarts the main entertainment at 7pm.
“He’ll be going through many acts such as lightning and fire whip and audience participation,” said Michelle.
She added, locals will have the opportunity to speak with the whip cracker and grab some merchandise.
