Rural Crime Prevention Team Detectives are investigating the illegal dumping of urea on the Waterloo Stock Reserve near Bellata on the afternoon of January 7, 2018 after a horse consumed the substance and died.

Two other horses were also affected however did not die.
The dumping was in close proximity to a water hole.
The dumping of urea or grain is not permitted on stock routes as it poses a threat to stock.
Intentionally or not, you have a responsibility to ensure this does not happen.
It is also a timely reminder to vehicles and heavy vehicles to slow down around stock.
Rural Crime Investigators are also working with officers from the EPA with this investigation.
