More than 200 hundred National and ex-service personnel from Sydney, Gosford, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and throughout the New England North West region attended the reunion.
On Saturday morning, crowds lined Balo Street to watch on as the Nashos and Allied Forces personnel marched to Moree Memorial Hall.
The march was led by Australian 1960s pop idol Little Pattie who was a special guest at this year’s reunion.
The Gosford RSL Re-Enactment Group and Moree Caledonian Society Pipes and Drums Band also participated in the march, along with representatives from Moree Police, emergency services, local nurses and Moree Scouts.
Everyone then gathered at the steps of Moree Memorial Hall for a moving service, in remembrance of all National and ex-servicemen who were killed in action or died of illness and accident.
Moree Community Choir and Community Ensemble led the crowd in hymns and the British and Australian national anthems.
