Nominations are now open for Moree’s 2018 Senior Citizen of the Year.
The award will be part of Moree’s NSW Seniors Festival celebrations, held from April 8 to 14, 2018.
The 2018 Senior Citizen of the Year award will be presented to someone 60 years or over who has made a significant contribution to the community in some way, for example, has been active in the community as a member of a club, church or other organisation; has talents in the arts, public speaking, business, sport etc; good personal qualities; or has coped with personal hardships, making them special.
This year’s winner will be announced at the Senior’s Week luncheon and entertainment day, held at Moree Services Club on Wednesday, April 11 from 11am.
Nominations close on Friday, March 16, and judging will take place the following week. All nominations are to be sent to Mrs Lorraine Bartel, “Illabo”, 363 Gwydirfield Road, Moree.
