Moree and District Band gears up to perform Christmas carols around the district

The Moree and District Band will be spreading Christmas cheer around the district as part of a long-held tradition at this time of the year.

Over the next few weeks in the lead-up to Christmas, the band will be performing Christmas carols in various locations throughout Moree and surrounding villages.

The first performance of the Christmas season will be Tuesday, December 5 with the band set to perform at Moree District Hospital from 6pm, followed by a performance at Apex Park, on the corner of Edward and Gwydir streets from 7pm.

On Thursday, December 7 they will head to Maple Avenue at 6pm, followed by Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre from 7pm.

Next Wednesday, December 13, Moree and District Band will perform at the Moree Community Carols event at Ron Harborne Oval from 7pm.

They will perform at Amaroo Drive from 6pm on Thursday, December 14, followed by Merindah Avenue from 7pm.

On Sunday, December 17 the band will travel to Boomi, Garah and Ashley to play for those communities.

They will be in Boomi at 1pm, Garah at 3.15pm and Ashley at 5.30pm

Residents in the vicinity of each of these locations are encouraged to come along and join in.
