Sascha and fellow Rabbit Hop Films filmmaker Mike Boudreaux were announced as finalists in the QantasLink My Town Spirit competition last week and on Friday Sascha found out her video was judged second, behind Tamworth’s entry.
Although under the impression that the winner would be decided by public vote, it turns out that the winner and two runners up were chosen by a panel of judges, while the People’s Choice winner will be determined by voting.
As runner-up, Sascha has won a feature on Moree in the Spirit magazine, with a journalist and photographer flying to Moree this morning to interview Sascha and a selection of locals who were featured in her film.
People can still vote for Mike or Sascha’s entries for People’s Choice at http://travelinsider.qantas.com.au/australia/regional-australia/mytownspirit-vote#/gallery/76088198.
