If Sunday’s clash against the Moree Boars and Boomerangs isn’t a draw card enough for local rugby league fans, then the Men of League will be sure to entice a crowd for their annual fundraiser.

Held at Boughton Oval, the Men of League hope to raise funds which will be put back into the Moree community to assist men, women and children of the rugby league community who’ve fallen on tough times.
Former Parramatta Eels player Neville Glover will attend the event to help conduct an auction of five items.
“This year we will have five framed prints of some of the greatest rugby league players of the modern time including Cameron Smith, Peter Sterling, Brad Fittler, Darren Lockyer and a special Johnathon Thurston print all signed by the players,” Tony Woodham said.
In his career with Parramatta, from 1975-81, Glover scored 55 tries. The athlete also played 11 games for Penrith, represented New South Wales and competed in two tests for Australia.
Whispers say Glover may also bring some extra items to Moree for the on-site auction.
We are highly supported by both Moree clubs, especially the Boars, and the local community so the designated Men of League day should be a big one.

North West Men of League members encourage all lovers of rugby league to attend and bid generously.
For those who may not be familiar with the organisation, Men of League is a nation-wide charity and since its conception in 2002, it has distributed more than $5 million in good will.
“The Men of League was formed by ex-rugby league players who saw a need for older people who were struggling being left on their own; who weren’t getting any support in their old age,” he said.
With branches in each state, local Men of League members can apply to the head office in Sydney when the need for assistance grants are found locally.
Young and old Parramatta supporters will be able to meet Glover and enjoy watching the Rangs and Boars go head to head from 11am on Sunday.
“We are highly supported by both Moree clubs, especially the Boars, and the local community so the designated Men of League day should be a big one,” Mr Woodham said.
