The workshop will be held this Thursday, January 19 at Moree Plains Shire Council committee room from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
Everyone is invited to attend the workshop, particularly those with a disability, carers, service providers or anyone interested in creating a more inclusive and accessible shire.
The Disability Action Plan will consider promoting positive attitudes and behaviours, creating liveable communities, supporting access to meaningful emplpyment, and improving council’s systems and processes.
Council aims to be inclusive for people of all abilities which is why it is important the plan is developed in consultation with the wider community. They are conducting a survey online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/3GT9RWY which is open until Monday, February 6. Hard copies are available.
