Moree Plains Shire Council’s General Manager Lester Rodgers is excited to see the service growing and being supported by the community.
“So many people tell me how great the 75-minute flight to Brisbane is compared to a six-hour car trip,” said Mr Rodgers.
“The flights have helped attract medical specialists from the Brisbane area, enhanced tourism opportunities and supported families with children at school or university in Queensland.”
Fly Corporate’s Sales Manager Geoff Woodham explained the larger Saab 340 will operate today and tomorrow due to demand.
“Fly Corporate closely monitors the Narrabri – Moree – Brisbane route and we offer the larger aircraft when the passenger numbers support it.”
“We are pleased the service is being supported by the Moree Plains community and look forward to future growth of the route,” said Mr Woodham.
