RUBY Drogemuller was named the 2016 club champion for PCYC gymnastics at their annual end of year awards last week.

Head coach Kerry Hunt said the club had a healthy 65 participants this year.
“We have our pre-gym kids from five years then we have three girls and one boys group, and then our last, more advanced group,” she said.
At the end of year awards, a number of level ups were presented to gymnasts who will next year be promoted to new groups.
Hunt said the more advanced group ranged from seven to 14 year olds.
“The year has been fantastic, especially with our new coaches. The gymnasts have been fantastic and have developed wonderful skills,” she said.
Five encouragement awards were given to Emma Tydd, Jesse James, Chloe Pollard, Jasmine Jarvis and Sarah Barwick.
The four most improved were Jemima Burke, Meleise Newman, Sophie Robinson and Arabella Drogemuller.
We will be starting again after school holidays and hope to see more boys involved. We only had four this year so it would be fantastic to see more!

Lucinda Deveny and Haylie Turner were named group champions.
A confidence award was presented to Maddison Pearce.
Each year pre-gym coaches teach a number of little ones. The four junior coaches awards were presented to Georgia Clissold, Eden Mitchell, Sophie Greer and Talitha Mitchell.
PCYC Gymnastics president John Bruno was MC for the evening.
“Sue Carter our life governor and Moree’s first life member Lorraine Bartel attended to hand out awards to the participants and committee members were busy on the barbecue.
“Life member Jackie Lane also helped out on the evening.
“It was a great event and all-in-all we’ve had a great year.”
Hunt thanked everyone involved in the 2016 gymnastics year and looked forward to next year. “We will be starting again after school holidays and hope to see more boys involved. We only had four this year so it would be fantastic to see more.”
