You’ve been hearing about this for what must seem like forever, and finally, the day has arrived.

Moree Secondary College is introducing to its community, the first production we’ve had for a number of years. There’s singing, dancing, laughter and all the other amazing qualities a production can have.

The story of our musical follows Katie Heron, as she moves to Australia from Africa and has to navigate the difficulties of being a teenaged girl in the 21st century.

The difficulties that Katie (portrayed by Claire Muggleton) faces includes attending a regular high school, making friends with “the best people ever”, as quoted by Janet (Bernadette Quirk) and Fabien (Samuel Penfold), learning how to fit into “Girl World” with the “help” of The Plastics (Laura Adcock, Andjela Stanojevic and Shannon Tucker) and everything else in between.

Over the past nine weeks, the thirty plus cast, which includes our leads, chorus ensemble and dance troupe has been involved in multiple rehearsals to make this the best show you will see this year.

With the help of Mr Joey Dixon (Director), Miss Cass Turnbull (Choreographer/Assistant Director), Miss Elle Raine (Assistant Director) and Ms Stevie Drenkhahn (Creative and Performing Arts Coordinator), the students have continued to show their dedication to the creative arts and their dedication to make this performance spectacular.

Support our students by purchasing your ticket now.

As always, tickets can still be purchased from the front offices on either the Carol Avenue or Albert Street campuses.

They are $7 for adults and $5 for students and children. There will also be the option of buying your ticket at the door on the nights, but you are encouraged to get in sooner rather than later, that way, you have the best seats in the house.

There will be two performances, one on Thursday the 15th and one on Friday the 16th of September, located at the Multi Purpose Centre on the Albert Street campus.

Doors open from 6pm with all patrons seated by 6:15pm for the show to start. If the option of seeing our fabulous students to perform isn’t quite enough to entice you, than what about the idea of a major raffle draw, with amazing prizes to be won, all donated from our wonderful, local business community.

It’s guaranteed to be a fun night, so purchase a ticket, bring the whole family, bring a friend or even come by yourself and enjoy a night of real, live action, instead of the television.

After all, this is a night of where “fetch” is going to happen… and will hopefully finally be explained to us.
