Head teacher, Samantha Cosgrove, said guest judges from Muswellbrook travelled to Moree for the special day.
“Basically, the idea of the day is for all our members to finish the year with a fun competition,” Cosgrove said.
“They get to watch each other perform as most girls don't get a chance to see other ages, especially the younger girls to the older ones.”
Members from four years to ladies competed in the competition, marching and dancing to a range of different songs.
“It was a great opportunity for seniors Gemma Mihill and Abby Price to have a rehearsal before their competition in Sydney on Sunday,” Cosgrove said.
Mihill and Price were chosen to compete in the national competition for physical culture for 2015.
“Each age group were awarded a winners trophy and following places.
“Two girls fought it out for dance trophies for each class, march off for junior, senior and ladies.
“A new trophy was introduced for the dads and brothers to have some fun and have a march off. Club champions were also awarded.
“At BJP we always welcome new-comers and we’re excited for our 2016 classes to begin in February.”
Cosgrove encouraged aspiring dancers to consider joining the physical culture club, as no prior dance skills are needed. For results of the day, turn to page 18.
