With a record number of entries (over 300) the committee pulled together a successful event for each of the members to experience and enjoy.
The aim of the carnival was to allow members to experience a swimming carnival in a relaxed and fun environment.
For some of the children it was a first time competing at a carnival and this was an opportunity to prepare the swimmers for their school swimming carnivals and also regional carnivals if they choose to participate.
The feedback from parents and swimmers was fabulous with everyone saying what a well organised event it was.
There was a fun atmosphere and the children had a great day.
It was also good to be able to utilise the newly built shade at MAAC on the day.
There were events ranging from the ‘tadpoles’ 15m races, up to 50m in all strokes and also the 200m individual medley involving ages from five to 15.
