The competitions in all age groups are evenly contested all the way from under nines to under 17s.
The under nines is used as a development competition to lay a foundation as the players progress through the age groups.
The numbers for all competitions have been down this season.
Touch football committee member Antoinette McNamara said it was a problem for the touch football competition but they weren’t the only club who were feeling the pinch.
“I’m not sure. I haven’t put my finger on it. A lot of sports are down though so we aren’t on our own there.
“Our registrations have closed for this season. We would love to see some new players come down next season and give it a go,” she said.
McNamara is also of the belief that there is untapped potential throughout Moree.
The club had representatives feature in the two North West open division teams.
Both sides made it through to semi-finals filling McNamara with confidence about the systems in place with the competitions.
She pointed out the success of Colin Hammond and Kyle Saunders who have both represented New South Wales at different levels in recent weeks.
Kyle and his brother Brian are currently representing Australia along with Robert Kennedy and Barry McGrady at the oztag world championships in New Zealand.
“The talent is definitely there,” she said.
The current competition is about to be put on hold for the Christmas and New Year break.
Throughout February the competition will run for a few more weeks until the semi-finals are contested in the under 13s and 17s.
