Some members travelled to Brisbane, then Tamworth and Coffs Harbour over three consecutive weekends.
Club 2400 teachers Pam Burley and Jenny Mulligan were amazed by how many members travelled away to these venues to represent the club given the current conditions of the drought which has hit the community hard.
“The results were fantastic for the club from our members,” Ms Burley said.

“A small contingent of 12 travelled to Brisbane, receiving 10 places. Fifty-two competitors travelled to Tamworth with an amazing result of 43 places and then 29 members backed up to Coffs Harbour with 29 places!
“These were incredible results!”
Clubs that attended the competitions were RD Brisbane, Gold Coast, Port Macquarie, Central Coast, Liverpool Plains, Tamworth, North Point QLD, Central Queensland Physie, Millennium Dance Co QLD, Harbourside QLD and Kootingal.
“To be this competitive for this time of year, it’s looking good for our members who have come home proud, confident and already working hard for Junior Zone in Tamworth, followed by Senior and Ladies all in Sydney in October,” Ms Burley said.
