Moree’s Frank Crump will be among the hundreds of thousands growing a mo this month to raise funds and awareness to help tackle men’s health issues as part of the Movember campaign.
This is the fourth year Frank has put his face on the line for the hairy cause, which aims to prevent men from dying too young by addressing some of their biggest health issues - prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.
As someone who works in the health industry, Frank is passionate about doing his bit to “change the face of men’s health”.
“I do see evidence of it every day at work,” he said.
Over the past three years, Frank has raised a total of $7,000 for Movember and this year he has a goal to raise $3,000 to reach his target of $10,000 all up.
November hasn’t even started yet and already Frank is $120 closer to his goal, however he says whatever he can raise “is a bonus”.
“I’m happy with whatever, it’s all about raising awareness of men’s health issues,” he said.
Frank would love to see local businesses get behind him and hold a fundraiser or have a donation bucket in their offices to raise funds for Movember.
If anyone would like to support Frank’s hairy cause, go to www.movember.com and search for Frank (Francis) Crump.
The Moree Champion would love to hear from any other residents growing a mo to support a bro.
